Chelsea want to re-sign former player Marc Guehi.
A product of the Chelsea academy, Guehi only made two senior appearances for the club, both in the EFL Cup in 2019, before leaving on loan for Championship side Swansea City.
He was signed by Crystal Palace in 2021 on a five year deal, which still has 18 months to run.
Although born in the Ivory Coast, he represented England at under-16 level upwards and has gone on to become a fully fledged international, with 22 caps to his name, and he featured in the European Championships for them last summer.
His form prompted Newcastle United to make several bids for him in the last transfer window, but they failed to match Palace’s valuation of him, despite their final offer being worth ₤65 million.
Palace have yet to receive any formal approach for him, but they are aware of the interest in him from his former club.
