Chelsea are being sued by the agent of their former player Kurt Zouma.

Saif Alrubie believes that he is owed money from the transfer of the player to West Ham United back in 2021.

He has now issued legal proceedings against the club and its former Managing Director Marina Granovaskaia.

Earlier this year the agent was unanimously cleared by a court after being accused of sending threatening emails to Granovaskaia.

During his trial the court was told that Arubie believed that there was an agreement in place which would see him receive a commission if Zouma was sold for a fee in excess of ₤25.3 million.

Zouma was sold eventually for a sum of around ₤28.7 million.

Agents are normally entitled to anywhere between 5% and 10% of any deal, so the amount due to him could be up to ₤2.8 million.

Although the present Chelsea board may argue this happened under the old regime, it is hoped that any out of court settlement can be reached with the parties involved.
