Chelsea and Nicolas Jackson have agreed that the striker can leave the club this summer.
He was signed from Spanish club Villareal in 2023, and he has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 80 senior appearances for them.
But with Chelsea having already signed two other strikers this summer, in the form of Liam Delap and João Pedro, and with the need to show a positive balance on their summer transfer business to meet a UEFA-imposed requirement, there is a need to recoup some money.
Chelsea are hoping to receive double what they paid the Spanish club for him originally.
Although there is interest in him from Serie A, with both AC Milan and Juventus monitoring his position, Jackson wants to stay in the Premier League, with Newcastle a potential destination.
They are looking for a new striker having missed out on both Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Seško.
