Chelsea want to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who is also a target for Liverpool.
However, the South Coast club are determined to hang on to the Hungarian international and are not prepared to sell him in the January window.
Kerkez was signed from Dutch side AZ in 2023, and he has since gone on to make 48 appearances in all competitions for the Cherries, and recently scored his first goal for the club in their victory ovet Wolves at Molineux.
Although born in Serbia, he was eligible to play for both them and Hungary at international level and opted for the latter, and has now won 21 senior caps for them.
He is regarded as a top young player, with the ability to support the attack with his overlapping runs and crossing ability. Kerkez is reported to be flattered by the interest from two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, and they can offer him European football, something he is unlikely to get at Bournemouth.
