Arsenal are among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Egyptian striker Omar Mamoosh who plays in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Mamoosh began his professional career with Wolfsburg, but struggled to make an impression there, and loan spells with St. Pauli and Stuttgart were similarly unproductive.

However, since moving to Frankfurt, he has begun to blossom.

Last season his 17 goals helped the club to a sixth place finish, and he has already found the net seven times in eight games this season.

Although he is under contract with Frankfurt until 2027, the club are prepared to entertain offers for him for around ₤25 million.

West Ham, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest have also been linked with a move for him, but the Gunners are currently believed to be at the head of the queue.

There are suggestions that Mamoosh may be a replacement for Gabriel Jesus who has not scored  for them since January.
