Turkish club Beşiktaş could be about to end the Chelsea nightmare of defender Axel Disasi.
He was one of the players that Chelsea wanted to move on during the summer, but despite interest from several Premier Leagues clubs, including Bournemouth, no offers were received for him in the end.
The 27-year-old has been one of the players forced to train with the famous “bomb squad” under Enzo Maresca, but now it appears there may be a lifeline offered by the Super Lig side.
With the transfer window in Turkey still open until 12th September, Beşiktaş are looking to add Disasi to their squad for this season, and have made preliminary enquiries about his availability. The versatility of the Frenchman, who can play in several positions, is a major attraction to them.
Sterling, however, appears stuck at Stamford Bridge, although the fact that he earns ₤325,000 a week will be a comfort to him in his exile.
