Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is closing in on a move to French club Marseille.
He is reported to have already included personal terms, with suggestions that the two clubs are now thrashing out the structure of the deal, which is likely to be an initial loan, but with a compulsory option to buy next summer.
Nketiah is currently with the Gunners on their pre-season tour in the USA, but he could be set to cut his time there short in order to finalise his move.
Nketiah managed six goals for the Gunners last season, but increasingly found himself in a peripheral role, with the majority of his later appearances coming off the bench.
Allowing Nketiah to leave may also be a signal that Arsenal do intend to buy another striker.
Mikel Arteta has been talking a lot in pre-season about the club needing to be stronger in every facet, and allowing a forward to leave without replacing him is not consistent with that message.
