Eddie Nketiah has agreed a move from Arsenal to Crystal Palace ending a long running transfer saga involving the England striker.
He had seemed destined to join Marseille, but that move eventually broke down with the two clubs unable to agree a fee or the structure of the deal.
Then he had verge of joining Nottingham Forest, but Nketiah could not agree personal terms with them after they wanted to insert a clause in their contract which would have seen his wages drop by 75% in case they were relegated.
Moving to Palace enables him to stay in London and also means that he can play for a team that should have no fears about being involved in a relegation battle.
And it also means that the Gunners have space in their squad to add another forward if theyc an find a suitable replacement before the transfer window finally closes.
