Arsenal have made an offer of ₤42.5 million and offered defender Jakub Kiwior to Atalanta as they bid to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.
The 26 year old was born in London and made 32 appearances for England at various age group international level, and was part of the squad that won the under-20 World Cup in 2017, before switching his allegiance to Nigeria.
He began his career with Charlton Athletic before moving to Everton, for whom he made 48 appearances.
Subsequently he joined RB Leipzig, who lent him back to the Premier League with first Fulham and Leicester City.
In August 2022 he was signed by Atalanta and scored his first career hat-trick as the Italian club shocked Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the Europa League in May.
Kiwior was signed by Arsenal from Spezia last January, but, has been tipped for a return to Italy, with both Milan clubs previously linked with him. He was left out of the Gunners’ match day squad for their opening Premier League game against Wolves.
