Liverpool and Arsenal must pay £40 million for Brighton midfielder

Brighton have told any clubs wanting to sign midfielder Yves Bissouma that they want £40 million for the 24-year old.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with the Mali international, who has had a fine season for the Seagulls this season, making 34 Premier League starts, including the match against Manchester City at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night. That saw Graham Potter’s side come form two goals down to beat the Champions in front of nearly 8,000 of their own ecstatic fans.

The South Coast side are already reconciled to losing him and have started to look for potential recruits with Reading’s Josh Laurent regarded as a potential target.

Liverpool are in the market for a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who is out of contract at the end of the season, whilst Arsenal are looking to strengthen their midfield, after what has been a disappointing campaign at the Emirates.
