Everton are considering making a move for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian moved to North London in 2022 after six seasons at Manchester City. However, he has struggled at the Emirates, not helped by a series of injuries that have hampered the progress.

The latest incurred in an FA Cup tie against Manchester City in January means that he has not played since, and is not expected to return until November at the earliest.

In the meantime, there is a sense that Arsenal, as  a team, have evolved in a different direction without him, and they would not be averse to selling him if it helps recoup some of the money they outlaid doing their summer transfer business.

Everton have had issues in their forward department for years, and bringing him in could add some much needed firepower to David Moyes’ team.

With an estimated value of between ₤25 million and ₤30 million it is also a deal they could afford.
