Chelsea are targeting Juventus striker Dusan Vlahović who will be available as a free agent next summer.
The 25-year old Serbian international has continually been linked with the Blues in recent years, but now it seems they are ready to make a move for him. Although they have both João Pedro and Rory Delap, with Delap currently injured, their forward options are currently limited.
However, they could face competition with Bayern Munich also in the market for them, especially given club president’s Uli Hoeness recent remarks which appeared to cast doubts on whether the Nicolas Jackson loan will be translated into a permanent deal.
For their part, Juventus want to get Vlahović, who is the biggest wage earner at the club, in order to improve their financial situation. That means they would be ready to sell him in January, willing to take something rather than nothing at all in a few months’ time.
