Juventus are considering making a move to sign Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell on loan in the January transfer window.
The England international has found himself frozen out under Enzo Maresca so far this season, and has managed just 45 first-team minutes in all competitions so far this season.
He has not even been named in a single Premier League matchday squad.
Now the Italian club are interested in bringing him to Turin, and the news that they would not even be required to cover all of his wages, is an additional incentive for them.
Juventus are in need of cover at left-back having lost regular Juan Cabal to a serious knee injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season.
There could be a Serie A battle in store though because Juventus may have to compete with Napoli, who are also keeping tabs on Chilwell’s situation.
For his part, Chilwell needs to go somewhere where he can be guaranteed regular football to kick-start his faltering career again.
