Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos will spend the following season on loan at sister club Strasbourg.
It is an environment that the Brazilian knows well – he spent the second half of last season with the Ligue 1 club, after enduring a miserable spell with Nottingham Forest.
Signed from Vasco de Gama in January 2023, 20 year old Santos has yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea.
This time there was interest in his services from Borussia Dortmund, before Chelsea decided to send him back to Strasbourg instead.
They are now managed by former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior, who succeeded Patrick Vieira in the role.
And he could be joined there by one of Chelsea’s more recent acquisitions, Caleb Wiley.
The 19 year old defender was bought from MLS side Atalanta United for a reported fee of ₤8.5 million last month. He is currently on Olympic duty in France with the USA.
