Chelsea are eyeing up both Liam Delap and Evan Ferguson as they look to provide competition in the striking position to Nicolas Jackson.
That comes amidst renewed speculation that Christopher Nkonku might be allowed to leave the club amidst his growing frustration about his lack of Premier League minutes.
Delap gave Chelsea first-hand proof of his abilities in Ipswich Town’s defeat of them in the Premier League earlier this week, scoring a penalty, setting up the second goal, and generally impressing with his physicality and aggression.
Meanwhile, Ferguson, who has long been a target of the Stamford Bridge club, has seen his career stall since Fabian Hurzeler has become manager of Brighton, and would welcome the chance to prove why he is rated as an ₤80 million player, despite still only being 20 years old.
