Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for RB Leipzig Benjamin Seško at the start of the transfer window.

However, in the end the Slovenian international decided to stay with his present club and signed a new contract with them.

That does not mean that the Gunners have given up their interest in him, especially as it is understood that his new contract contains a provision that would allow him to listen to offers from other clubs.

That is why scouts from the Gunners were in attendance as RB Leipzig met Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

It was not a fruitless journey. Seško netted twice, as did another striker on has previous being on Arsenal’s radar, Dusan Vladohović for the Italian side.

Both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea also had representatives at the match, which Juventus won, despite twice trailing and having their goalkeeper sent off.
