Despite having agreed deals to sign both Jamie Gittens and João Pedro in the space of 48 hours, Chelsea want to add to their attacking options more for next season.
One player who remains firmly in their sights is Mohammed Kudus of West Ham, who they came close to signing two years ago. They had already agreed personal terms with the Ghanaian international but the move broke down because his club at the time, Ajax, were insulted by what they considered a low-ball offer from Chelsea.
Now they know they will have to pay in excess of ₤64 million for his services, with Newcastle and Tottenham also in the hunt for the striker.
There is also the possibility of a swap deal with their East London neighbours, with West Ham having enquired about the potential availability of Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
