Manchester United are ready to launch a summer move for former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The English international has broken scoring records since moving to Roma last summer, and now United want to bring him back to the Premier League to rejuvenate their ageing attack.
Chelsea, though, could block the move. That is because, according to the agreement signed with them and Roma, he must remain in Italy until the summer of 2023, when they will have right of first refusal to buy him back for €80 million (£68 million) double what they sold him for in the first place.
And then there is the fact that Jose Mourinho does not have any affection for his former club after the way that he left Old Trafford, and it would take a serious offer for him to be persuaded to change his mind, especially as he would then have to find a replacement for his goals.
