Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid, with rumours that a deal could be announced in the next few days.
That is according to Spanish newspaper Marca who report that a fee likely to be around £31 million (€35 million) is set to be agreed between the two clubs.
26-year old Belgian Courtois, the winner of the Golden Glove award at this year’s World Cup, is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and although the West London club have offered him a lucrative new deal, he looks set to return to the city he left to join Chelsea when he signed from Atletico Madrid 4 years ago.
He has long expressed a desire to return to Spain, mainly because his two children from his estranged partner Marta Dominguez still live there, and now it looks like he is about to have his wish fulfilled.
