Aaron Ramsdale will be leaving Arsenal this summer, having lost his number one status at the Emirates to David Raya.
And there are reports that his next club has already been identified, and that he will be joining Newcastle United.
The Geordies lost first choice goalkeeper Nick Pope to injury mid-season, with Martin Dubravka deputising in his absence.
However, if Ramsdale does make the move to the North-East, he will expect to play, even when Pope is fit again.
When Raya was first signed on loan by the Gunners, few fans of the North London club couold understand the rationale, given that Ramsdale had been named in the Premier League team of the year for the previous season.
However, the Spaniard has gradually won them over with his performances, and ahs won the Golden Glove for this season.
