Crystal Palace are among the clubs interested in signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings, with Leicester City, Newcastle United and Southampton all said to be in the hunt for the 26-year old as well.
According to The Guardian, Ings, who has resisted moves away from Anfield in previous transfer windows has reluctantly conceded that, if he wants regular first-team football, then he has to bid his Liverpool career farewell, and is now looking for a new club. He was left out of the club’s US tour and participation in The International Champions Cup in order to work on his fitness and to try and negotiate a move that suits him.
However, Palace, who are keen to add to their attacking options, will need to match Liverpool’s valuation of Ings at £20 million.
Ings is not the only Liverpool player linked with a move away in the nest few days – goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been linked with Besiktas, whilst talks have been opened with Olympiakos about the sale of Lazar Markovic to the Greek side.
