Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses is being lined-up with a loan move to Spartak Moscow, provided that he passes a medical in the Russian capital first.
The Nigerian still has a year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge, and he is likely to sign a one-year contract extension with the Stamford Bridge side first. That will help protect the value of their investment and mean that they can still demand a transfer fee for him next summer.
Moses was a first-team regular under Antonio Conte but fell out of favour after the Italian left the club, and went on loan first to Fenerbahçe in Turkey, and then to Inter Milan, where he played under Conte once more.
However, the Serie A decided not to take up their option to sign him on a permanent £9.2 million deal.
He has a minor hip problem at the moment, but the injury is not thought to jeopardise any potential move.
