Manchester United want to sign West Ham contract rebel Declan Rice.
That is according to The Daily Star who reports that Jose Mourinho has been monitoring the Rice situation carefully, as he looks for solutions for his centre-back problems.
Rice, who is regarded as one of the most promising young players in England is in dispute with West Ham over his wage, which are currently only £3,000 a week. The club have made an improved offer, rumoured to £20,000 a week, but that has been rejected by the player and his representatives who are looking for a sum closer to his market value.
Rice can also playing in holding midfield, with this versatility justifying his current value of around £15 million.
Meanwhile Mourinho was also in attendance at the Belgium Iceland clash to run the rule over another of his transfer targets, Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld.
