Chelsea will not be renewing Gonzalo Higuain’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge and he will be returning to Juventus once the season is over.
The Argentine striker was lent by Juventus to AC Milan, but then was brought to England by Maurizio Sarri who knows the player well, having managed him when he was in charge of Napoli.
However, he has disappointed during his time in England and has only managed 5 goals in 21 appearances for the club.
That puts Higuain in a difficult position, because he is no longer wanted by Juventus because he has two years left on a costly contract with them, whilst his poor form first with Milan in the first part of the season, and then with Chelsea, is hardly the best advert for potential suitors for him.
