Although he has only been at Chelsea a few months, Jorrel Hato could be set for a move away from the club in January – at least temporarily.
Signed from Ajax in a deal worth ₤40 million, the 19-year old had previously been linked with a number of other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.
However, there are early signs that the Dutchman is not ready yet to cope with the demands of the Premier League, and that a move away on loan might be in his best interests so that he can develop his game further.
Now it is being reported in the Netherlands that a move to another club in the Eredivisie is being considered as an option.
Hato started the EFL Cup tie against Lincoln City in midweek, but struggled against League One opposition.
He is by no means the only one of Chelsea summer signings who have struggled to impress so far, and only João Pedro can claim to have been an instant success.
