Manchester City are set to offer Gabriel Jesus a bumper new deal, a little more than a year after he joined the club.
The 20-year old initially signed from Brazilian club Palmeiras in August 2016, although he did not join up with the City first-team until January this year. However, despite missing part of last season with an injury, he has since gone on to impress, scoring 14 goals and getting 5 assists in 20 Premier League appearances.
Although his current £70,000 a week deal runs until the end of the 2021 season, City are keen to reward him for his excellent start by increasing his weekly earnings to £100,000.
With Jesus currently away on international duty with Brazil, his agent has flown to Manchester to negotiate the contract extension.
