Mattheus Cunha wants to move to Arsenal.
The Brazilian had been on the verge of signing a new contract with Wolves, but has yet to put pen to paper amidst interest from other clubs, with Nottingham Forest the latest to show an interest.
However, Arsenal is his preferred destination, although whether the Gunners are prepared to meet Wolves’ valuation of him is another issue. The West Midlands’ club are fighting for their Premier League survival and believe that they are much more likely to achieve that with Cunha is their side than without him.
There have also been questions about his character, with Wolves manager unhappy about the way he left the pitch at the end of their defeat to Chelsea earlier this week without greeting the club’s fans gathered in the away end at Stamford Bridge.
