Manchester City defender Pedro Porro could be set to make his loan move to Sporting Lisbon permanent.
The 21-year-old was signed by City from their sister club Girona in 2019 for a reported fee of £11 million, but has never actually played for the English side.
Instead, four days after signing with them, he was loaned back to La Liga side Real Valladolid for a season, although his time there was interrupted, with illness restricting him to just 15 appearances.
Despite that, Sporting Lisbon decide to move for him this summer, and he agreed a two-year loan deal with them.
The right-back, who has played seven times for Spain at under-21 level, has made 4 appearances for the Portuguese club so far this campaign, but they have already seen enough to convince them to try and make the arrangement permanent.
Porro is mainly a right-back although he has also been deployed as a winger during his career.
