Chelsea are ready to revive their interest in signing Marc Guéhi at the end of the season.

Guéhi had thought he would be a Liverpool player by now. He had completed his medical ahead of a move to Anfield on deadline day, with a hefty signing-on fee, until Palace pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute, allegedly under pressure from manager Oliver Glasner.

The 25-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season, which will enable him to leave the South London club as a free agent. That may persuade him not to seek a move in January, knowing that he can instead look forward to a hefty signing-on bonus.
Guéhi has been linked with a move back to Chelsea, the club where he spent 12 years in their academy.

They will face intense competition, though, with Liverpool expected to be in the running for his services again, amid suggestions that the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are both tracking his situation as well.
