Chelsea are considering exercising their buy-back option for midfielder Jeremie Boga who they sold to Sassuolo in 2018.
The 23 year old Ivory Coast international joined Chelsea as a youngster from Marseille, but only made one Premier League appearance for them against Burnley, before embarking on a series of loan moves that took in Rennes, Granada, and Birmingham City.
He was sold for Sassuolo for £3.5 million in 2018, but the deal included a buy-back clause for £12.7 million which Chelsea are considering exercising when the summer transfer window opens.
Boga has made a strong impression in Serie A this season, scoring against Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma, and helping his side into 12th place in the table, well clear of the relegation places.
His form has attracted the notice of Everton, Napoli and Monaco, but Chelsea, if they choose to act, will have first right of refusal for the player who has been capped once by his country at senior level.
