Chelsea are considering exploiting an unusual clause in Paola Dybala’s contract with Roma to sign the Argentine for a cut price fee.

That allows him to join a foreign club for as little as €12 million (₤10.2 million), although this clause expires on January 15th so time is of the essence for anybody wishing to take advantage of it.

Despite a host of foreign clubs purportedly showing an interest, none have shown their hand until now, but suggestions from Italy suggest that Chelsea are now ready to make a move. Having identified Dybala as a player who could strengthen them in the second half of the season.

Roma do not want to lose him, and are ready to tempt Dybala with an improved new deal iof he extends his stay with the club.

However, the temptation of proving himself in the Premier League could be too big for Dybala not forgo the opportunity.
