Arsenal set to bid for Sampdoria pair

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set to blow almost all his transfer budget on the Sampdoria pair of Dennis Praet and Joachim Anderson.

That is according to The Sun who report that Praet is regarded as a replacement for the out-going Aaron Ramsey, whilst Anderson is a central defender.

Emery is reported to have only limited funds to spend on transfers – with reports suggesting the money available to him is anywhere between £40 and £45 million – although he could generate more funds from the sale of players.

25-year old Praet is a Belgian international, having made 106 appearances, and scoring 4 goals for them.

Anderson, meanwhile, who is 23 years old, is a Danish under-21 international, and has made 42 appearances for the Serie A side since joining them from Dutch side FC Twente, in August 2017.

This is not the first time that Arsenal have done business with Sampdoria, as they bought midfielder Lucas Torreira from them last summer.
