Arsenal are one of the clubs who have been tracking the progress of English winger Jamie Gittins at Borussia Dortmund.
Gittins is the latest English player, following in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho, and Jude Bellingham, who has blossomed at the Bundesliga club.
He began his youth career with Reading and then joined Manchester City, but never played for them, and instead, headed for Germany as a 16 year old.
Prior to the start of this season, he had played under his family name of Bynoe-Gittins, but dropped the Bynoe part on the advice of his father.
So far this season he has scored four times in ten games for Dortmund, almost matching his return from his first three seasons in Germany.
He has also become a regular at under-21 level for England, recently winning his tenth cap.
The Gunners continued to search for that elusive replacement for Bukayo Saka, somebody who csn replicate his skill set when he is injured or needs a rest.
