Serie A league leaders Inter Milan are interested in signing Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso, who could in line for a reunion with his former boss, Antonio Conte, now in charge of the Italian side.
Alonso has started only seven games for the Blues this season, and has been told he can leave in January if a suitable buyer can be found. This may be a sticking point for Inter, who are looking to boost their title challenge, but want to sign the Spaniard on loan only, with no obligation to buy included in any deal.
The 28-year old Spaniard joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2016, and has since gone on to make 133 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring 19 times. First-choice under Conte, he lost his place at the end of last season to Emerson, whilst recently captain César Azpilicueta has been switched to that side in order to make way for Reece James to play at left-back.
