Chelsea could re-sign German defender

chelsea fc

chelsea fcChelsea are considering re-signing German defender Antonio Rúdiger.

He made more than 200 appearances in all competitions for them, before joining Real Madrid in 2022 on a free transfer.

However, he has missed much of the last six months with injury, and is currently recovering from knee surgery. As a result, his future is now up for discussion at the Bernabeu.

Whilst he wishes to remain in Spain, and his role as a mentor to some of the younger players inn the squad is highly appreciated, his fitness issues are causing concerns.

And he would likely be welcomed back in West London, where his leadership skills could prove a very valuable asset for the youngest squad in the Premier League currently. And the fact that he left Chelsea on good terms when his contract ended means he would likely find little problem in fitting into the dressing room again.
