nzo Maresca is unsure about his long-term future as Chelsea manager.
Despite the Italian having won both the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup in his first season after joining them from Leicester City, there has been speculation that he is not entirely happy at Stamford Bridge. This appears linked to the club’s failure to meet one of his key transfer demands in the summer.
And now Juventus have begun to cast favourable glances at him, and he has emerged as a serious candidate to take charge of the Serie A club in the future.
For Maresca this would also mean a chance to return to the club for whom he made 37 appearances as a midfielder between 2000 and 2004, in a playing career that also included spelles with Sevilla, Palermo and West Bromwich Albion.
Meanwhile, he will serve his one game Premier League ban this weekend imposed for his exuberant touchline celebrations following the winner against Liverpool earlier this month.
