Axel Disasi’s time as a member of Chelsea’s bomb squad could be limited.
That is because Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the French defender, although not until next summer. That is when they are bracing themselves for the departures of botgh Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Sule, and Disasi is seen as a good fit.
However, with the two clubs having a good relationship and having done business in the past – Jamie Gittens moved to Stamford Bridge from the Bundesliga club this summer and Careny Chukwuemake and Aaron Anselmino went the other way – there is room for some arrangement to be made.
That could potentially see Disasi move to Dortmund in January, but with an option to buy.
Alternatively they might be able to acquire him at a bargain price with Chelsea ready to listen to any offers for him.
Chelsea would also have to make arrangements to terminate the contract of Disasi which runs until 2029.
