One of Arsenal’s summer signings, Christian Norgaard initially ignored the call from his agent alerting him to the Gunners’ interest.
However, once he became aware of it, he jumped at the chance to join a club playing in the Champions League.
He has had limited first-team involvement so far, with an injury hampering his progress at the start of the season. But he also knows that there is a lot of football to be played this season, and he will get his opportunities under Mikel Arteta.
And the former Brentford captain is already planning for his future. He has signed a two-year contract with the Gunners, with an option of a third year.
And after that he intends to return to Denmark, guaranteeing that Arsenal will be his last club abroad.
His preferred ultimate destinate is Copenhagen-based Brøndby where he spent six seasons, and won the Danish Cup with them in 2018.
