Chelsea are willing to pay ₤78 million to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth.
The South Coast side have been one of the surprise packages of the season so far, and are fourth in the Premier League going into the international break. And one of the reasons for that has been the form of Semenyo who scored twice and assisted another goal in their recent comeback win over Fulham.
Semenyo was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, but ultimately ended -up staying put at a club where he is under contract until 2030.
However, that is unlikely to deter one of the bigger clubs coming in for him, and Chelsea have shown their hand early with their interest, although any firming of that will come towards the end of the season.
The Ghanian winger joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in January 2023, and he has now scored 28 goals in 97 appearances for them in all competitions.
