Having got William Saliba to agree a new contract at the club, Arsenal are turning their attention to Bukayo Saka.
Talks about a new deal for the 24-year old have been continuing in the background for some time, but they are now expected to accelerate, with securing the future of their ‘starboy’ regarded as a top priority for the club.
Saka currently earns ₤195,000 a week, but is in line for a bumper increase that will make him one of the highest earners at the club.
There is a high degree of confidence that Saka, who remains the posterchild for the Arteta project and is beloved by the fans, will continue his journey at the Emirates.
Should he appear against West Ham at the weekend Saka will be playing in his 200th Premier League game for the Gunners who will be hoping he has recovered from his latest injury.
