Bundesliga side Stuttgart want to sign Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira.
Signed from Porto three years ago in a ₤30 million move, Vieira has never come to grips with the physicality of the Premier League, and, although he shares a surname with an Arsenal legend, his time at the Emirates has been largely underwhelming.
He was sent back to Porto on loan last season, but although they had the option to make that move permanent, they passed on the option, although he was part of the squad they took to the Club World Cup.
That means he is still on holiday and he has taken no part in pre-season for the Gunners.
Arsenal will be hoping for a quick sale as they continue efforts to trim their squad, and also potentially to fund more summer business. They remain heavily linked with a move for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze before the transfer window closes.
