Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard is refusing to sign the new contract that has been offered to him.
The Belgian international has been with the Gunners since signing from Brighton in January 2023, and since then has scored 23 goals and provided 28 assists in 124 appearances for the club.
And to reward his contribution to the team, he was offered a new deal, which consisted of a pay rise, although no extension in terms of years.
However, the 30 year old has refused to sign it preferring to keep his options open, and to explore other opportunities, with previous interest from the Saudi Pro League, Europe and other Premier League sides.
He will also be concerned about the increased competition at the Emirates. In addition to Gabriel Martinelli, Noni Madueke has been signed this summer, and the links to Crystal palace’s Eberechi Eze continue.
