Chelsea insist that striker Nicolas Jackson is not for sale.
There were reports that the West London club were open to letting him go, amidst reported interest in the Senegal striker from clubs in Saudi Arabia, and Europe, with Enzo Maresca;s side losing patience with his poor disciplinary record.
He was forced to apologise to team-mates and fans after getting needlessly sent off playing against Flamengo in the Club World Cup, which earned him a two match batch and came just months after a similar dismissal playing in the Premier League against Newcastle United.
The signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town means that Jackson now has competition for the centre-forward spot at Stamford Bridge, and the prospect of more arrivals in forward areas before the transfer window closes cannot be ruled out.
However, Jackson is under contract until 2033 with Chelsea, and is still regarded as a player who is yet to reach his peak, and that his disciplinary issues are something that can be coached out of him.
