Chelsea are considering making another U-Turn about the future of Jadon Sancho.
The winger was signed from Manchester United on a season-long loan, but with an obligation to buy him for ₤25 million if he made a stipulated number of appearances for them.
Unconvinced, however, by what they had seen of the England international, they discussed returning him to United and the possibility of paying a penalty fee to effectively void their option.
However, his performances towards the end of the season, have caused them to change their mind again, and now they are considering paying the ₤25 million after all. Sancho came off the bench to score the third goal in the Europa League Conference final against Real Betis.
United, for one, will be grateful if that is the course of action they take, because it gives them one less headache to dealt with this summer. And it also gives Sancho the chance of playing Champions League football next season.
