Arsenal have enquired with Bayern Munich about the availability of their winger, Kinglsley Coman.
The 28-year old French international is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season, and there is interest in him from a number of clubs in the Saudi Pro League. However, the Gunners have been in contact with the player who scored the winner in the 2020 Champions League final to determine if he wants to continue his career in Europe.
This also perhaps indicates a change in focus since Andrea Berta became the Sporting Director at the Emirates. Although the club’s need for a new winger in the summer has been clearly flagged, it was previously assumed that Nico Williams was their preferred target.
However, with indications that the Spanish international is considering signing a “lifetime” contract that will bind him to his current club, Athletic Bilbao, there may now be a need to pivot to other candidates.
