Chelsea are ready to sign Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
Garnacho is one of the players who has been identified as not suiting the style of United coach Rúben Amórim, and he is now set to be jettisoned by them during the current window.
United have recently dropped their asking price for him, which has made his affordable as far as Serie A leaders Napoli are concerned. With his asking price slashed to ₤55 million, there are a number of suitors in play, but Chelsea have emerged as the favourites.
However, the West London club have been asking for further evidence of Garnacho’s character, with concerns that he is not prepared to work as hard off the ball as he is on it, and his willingness to track back.
As graduate of the United academy system, any sale of the player will count as pure profit as far as they are concerned.
