Arsenal are once again being linked with Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García as they look for a reliable back-up to David Raya.
There was heavy speculation that he might move to the Emirates in the summer, but Espanyol’s insistence that his release clause of ₤25 million should be met scuppered any deal, with two bids at lower prices turned down.
That is still their public stance but that has not deterred the Gunners from maintaining their interest.
