Spanish striker Marc Guiu could be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan next month, even though his manager Enzo Maresca wants to keep him at the club.
Guiu has had a fine week, following up the two goals he scored against Astana with a hat-trick in the Europa Conference League against Shamrock Rovers. That brought the 18-year olds tally in the competition after the group stage to six goals, making him their leading scorer in the competition.
But the player who was signed from Barcelona last summer remains behind Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkonku in the pecking order, and he has not played a single minute in the Premier League so far since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, since the first day of the season.
There has already been interest in the teenager back in Spain, and Chelsea may grant him his wish for more regular football, but insist they regard him as one for the future.
