Arsenal have been rocked by the news that Sporting Director Edu is set to leave the club.
The Brazilian, a former player with the Gunners, returned to the club in 2019 and has overseen the development of the team under Mikel Arteta.
The pair have since gone on to forge a close working relationship.
He has played a major role in many of the transfers they have made in recent years, bringing key players like Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz and Declan Rice to the club.
The Brazilian is et to take up a position overseeing the development of the multi-club ownership model currently being pursued by Evangelos Marinakis, whose stable of clubs already includes Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos. He is set to earn three times his salary at Arsenal.
He is the second major figure to leave the club in recent weeks. Jack Wilshire left his job as under-18 coach to take up a position with the Norwich City first-team.
