Kieran Tierney has become something of a forgotten figure at Arsenal.
The Scot is back with Arsenal having spent last season on loan with Real Sociedad, and probably would have left in the summer had he not picked up an injury playing for Scotland in the summer.
Although he is getting back to fitness, he knows that there is no chance of him getting back into the team under Mikel Arteta and the team has just moved on and evolved.
Arteta wants his full-backs to be able to invert and move into midfield, a role that is not suited to the Scots skill sets.
There seems to be no bitterness on Tierney’s part, however.
Instead the 27 year old will bide his time and wait for his future to be decided.
A return to Scotland and Celtic is one move that has been suggested for a player who is under contract until 2026.
